The rules may be changed through the Captain's Meeting. Captain's meeting is mandatory for at least one angler per boat. Angler must receive their individual tournament number at the Captain's meeting. Captains meet- ing will be held February 24th, 6:30 PM at Tampa Harbour FMC (5200 W. Tyson., Tampa, FL 33616)
There is no refund of entry fees.
In the event the tournament directors determine the weather to be too hazardous an alternate tournament date will be determined.
Eligible species limited to SHEEPSHEAD. Eligible fish must measure at least 12-inches overall.
Fishing starts at 6:30 AM Saturday, February 25, 2012. No lines in the water prior to this time.
All fish must be caught with hand held rods and reels.
Two or more boats coming in physical contact during fishing hours in any manner will be disqualified.
This is a captain's choice tournament. It is up to the discretion of the registered captain to determine whether his or her craft is sea- worthy for existing sea conditions. Anglers are encouraged to scan channel 16, in addition to the tournament channel (68) to keep abreast of any marine or weather warnings. The captain is responsible for all members of his/her crew both on and off the water.
Each angler on a boat must be registered in the tournament or entire team is subject to disqualification. Each angler is only allowed to weigh one fish. Heaviest fish wins.
All anglers must be at weigh-in by 4:00 PM at Tampa Harbour FMC (5200 W. Tyson., Tampa, FL 33616) with your tournament number – NO EXCEPTIONS!
No rotten or mutilated fish will be weighed in. All anglers are responsible for their fish after weigh in.
Any fish weighed-in containing lead or any foreign matter will be subject to disqualification as determined by the tournament weighmaster.
$2,000 top prize is based on a field of 125 anglers. The payout for the lady angler award is based on at least 10 lady anglers par- ticipating. A lady eligible for the Lady angler must be 15 years or older. She must catch and reel the fish to point of the boat or landing net. Youth prizes is awarded to anglers 12 years and under.
All protests made to the tournament committee shall be accompanied by $200 cash. Protest must be presented no later than one hour after the last fish is weighed. The $200 cash deposit will be returned if the protest is upheld by the tournament directors. The $200 cash deposit will become the property of Saltwater Angler and the Filthy Pelican if the protest is not upheld. Decision of the tournament directors will be final.
This is an invitational tournament. The tournament directors has the right to refuse entry to any applicant. In the event such refusal occurs, 100% of the applicant's entry fee will be returned.
All decisions of the tournament directors and weighmaster are final.
